ABOUT INDIE ORCHESTRA
Based deep in the heart of Texas, Indie Orchestra (I/O) is a community-minded, uniquely Austin event. Since 2014, I/O has paired indie rock, hip-hop, alt-country, and pop acts with live professional orchestra and chorus, — creating an innovative and sonically surprising experience for audience and artist alike.
Directed, curated and produced by award-winning conductor/composer/arranger Brent Baldwin, I/O has been nominated for Best Classical Concert by the Austin Critics Table Awards and has been showered with rave reviews in the Austin press. In an effort to give back to its supportive community, I/O regularly partners with Central Texas-based non-profits such as Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM), the SIMS Foundation, and Austin Soundwaves in fundraising events.
Past collaborative artists include Mobley, Roky Erickson, Quiet Company, Carson McHone, Riverboat Gamblers, Zeale, Calliope Musicals, Shearwater, and more.
I/O is highly mobile and customizable to fit any production need. For pricing and info, contact us
